Discovering My Potential Means Sitting With My Blank White Board

Discovering one's potential is as unique as our DNA strand. What does the word “potential" mean anyway? As a noun or adjective, it talks about a latent quality or ability that can develop. I understand that yet, I question this concept. Every human is innately potent, just like Bees who instinctively fly around, pollinating all the flowers they touch. Humans' electromagnetic energy field connects with their surroundings by design and without effort: we have great power and the ability to affect everything we engage in.

I am the potential I seek. Sourcing this power begins with acknowledging and taking ownership of who and what I am. I am the potency at this moment to BE my aspirations. Wow! It is not something you ask your parents or friends for; read from a book or source outside yourself. It might sound daunting and perhaps a bit crazy to say; My potential is not a destination! Instead, it is where I AM, right here, right now.

I can't help but compare this to an Acting role like "Sexy Man." The casting directors are calling male actors who are sexy. Not men who can "act'' sexy. It doesn't matter what they wear on the outside; torn clothing, naked or 3-piece suit, make-up or no make-up, cleavage or no cleavage...it doesn't matter because their essence is sexy. In this same way, the essence of every Human Being is potency.

"I am the whiteboard" ~ I am my potential; that is the discovery. Within me lives the potent essence that is the force of all creation.

Now, how do we erase the unfulfilled expectations to refocus our energy and mind? Allowing oneself to rest and consolidate or play to blow off steam is the best reset when feeling "stuck or in limbo." Make a list of all the things you love to do and go and do them while laughing(no pressure)! You can also focus on the mundane aspects of life like your daily routine: Cleaning the house, eating, sleeping, pooping, meditating—choosing simple practices that you have mastery over will support neutrality, which is the goal of an energy reset.

Once you begin to water down your struggles and find childlike wonder within you, the path to your potential becomes available to you again.

The creative process is an expression of our potency in action. Earthly multi-dimensional energy continually cycles through 4 necessary steps; inspiration, chaos, integration, and stillness. A healthy and potent life naturally expands out and contracts inward as it evolves. As you create, be willing to step into the unknown unsure of why or what you hope to accomplish, just knowing you need to go "there." Work within your essential self by being willing to contract without resistance or frustration—instead, appreciate the moments you get to turn inward.

Quote by Amanda Lux: "Horses out of the gate---Observing, being with it that feels powerful. A lot of energy is being held back; Sitting with it at the impasse and the unknown. I feel I don't need to be anywhere because I am just here what I AM. I am not here or there. THIS IS THE RIGHT OF PASSAGE. This is special...holding this."

I know this process well. The Mystic Agent journey has been about discovering my innate abilities and learning how to listen within and apply them. I have found the key to evolving one's energy begins and ends with Self-Realization.

Having a "plan" is great and when one meets roadblocks or failure on the planned path, think of it not as a blockage but instead as a redirect. You've heard the expression, "best-laid plans"? Try observing the unexpected off-direction event by saying, "isn't this interesting" or "I wonder what new information this might bring me?" This neutral approach will flip the energy dynamic, delivering you something new.

As inspiration pulls you in and finds it's fertile space to grow and solidify, stay present, measure and evaluate your different internal experiences;

  1. conscious witness

  2. discerning thought from the Micro and Macro

  3. inspired actions without force

  4. felt sense

Be easy and honor it all. Approach trial and error as a means to learn, laugh and grow. Resourcing yourself through all these steps brings joy and harmony as you move out into places you never imagined. The phrase: "beyond my wildest dreams" comes to mind."

That, my friends, is how you bring yourself back into the GAME!
